Fourth of July Fireworks – Navy Pier
If you are going to be in the Chicago area for 4th of July weekend, Navy Pier is the place to be to get the best view of the fireworks. Locals and visitors will be out on the water to get a good viewing spot – you even have the option of taking a fireworks cruise at night to get a premium spot on the water (more information on that here).
Fun Fact! Fireworks at Navy Pier run all summer long through August 31st. If you’ll be out of town for the Fourth, you have plenty of time to get out and catch the fireworks another weekend. Check out the schedule on their website.
Chicago Yacht Club’s Race to Mackinac – Begins July 13
This is the longest sailing race in the world! Sailors will cover 333 miles starting at the Chicago Lighthouse and ending at Mackinac Island. They will race 24 hours a day and tackle whatever mother nature may present to them. For history about this race, click here.
Chicago Scene Boat Party – July 25-28

Chicago Air & Water Show – August 17-18
Admission is FREE!

Chicago River Architecture Cruise
This is one of the most overlooked tours Chicago has to offer, yet, it’s the 2nd most popular tour in the world! If you are into architecture, or even just relaxing boat rides along the rivers with some pretty cool views, this excursion is for you!
