It’s winter time in Chicago and, as boaters, we know it can be a dreary time because there is now six months until we can relax with family and friends on the water again.

However, at Chicago Yacht Works, we have plenty to keep us busy all season long. In addition to performing the many services that are scheduled for your boats, we have some fun events coming up!

Chicago Boat, RV and Sail Show

It’s that time of year! We’ll be back at the Chicago Boat, RV & Sail Show January 9th-13th. You can find us at our own Chicago Yacht Works booth as well as the Formula Boats booth. This show is always a fun time for both us and the attendees and gets everyone in the mood for spring time launches on the water. Come on by the show to shop around, gather more information or just to simply get out and socialize with us.

We’ll be at booths P1425 and P1500. You can find more information on the show and make an appointment to meet with us here.

Wilderness First Aid Class

While we love our marine and boating operational classes, it’s also important to understand what happens when emergencies pop up. While you’re out on the water, you can trust the Coast Guard to tend to your calls, but what happens if they take longer than expected? This course will go through common First Aid required for injuries and potential evacuation situations – both in the classroom and outdoors so that you are prepared for real-life occurrences.

You can find more information and register for this course here. We’ll also be holding more boating education classes starting back up in 2019.

CYW Open House

That’s right – we’ll be hosting our annual Open House again in 2019. This is a fantastic opportunity to come over to our show room and get a closer look at any new vessels you’ve been eyeing. We’ll be there to answer any questions you have about upgrades, trade-ins or a brand-new vessel for yourself.

We’d love to see you there! Stay tuned for more information.
