Can you believe we are in the midst of the fall season already? This season flew by for us! Even though we are sad to see boat season come to an end so quickly, we can’t help but think about all the fun times we’ve had out on the water!
The Moonglade Launch
After 36 years of dedicated work on his beloved vessel, “Moonglade,” one of Chicago Yacht Works’ dearest friends were able to launch it this summer. We were so honored to be able to share this special day with him and his wife. They are finally able to go off and enjoy their retirement with their family in South Carolina.
Chicago Air & Water Show
This year’s Chicago Air & Water Show did not disappoint. It was their 60th annual show and one of the largest in attendance yet! Thousands flocked to the shores to watch the air show, which is one of the most entertaining events of the weekend. We were bouncing around really enjoyed running into some of you around the festivities.

Formula Boats are Everywhere!
Not really…but we sold fifteen new Formula boats this season and numerous used ones as well, putting more than 20 Formulas into the Chicago harbor system in 2018! Everyone from celebrities (not to name names) to first-time boaters and experienced boaters chose Formula as their top choice. One of the best parts of summertime in Chicago is that you can make your most special plans happen on the water. We take pride in being able to offer the best rental boat opportunities to all of you. When one of our customers came to us with his plan to take his girlfriend out on the water in one of our rentals to secretly propose – we were overjoyed to be able to accommodate one of the most important moments in their lives
